The best little show in the west. Rodeo, wood chopping, local craft, animal judging, side show alley. At Gulgong Showground (south of C9 on the map on page 2).

May - Prince of Wales Eisteddfod

Three weeks showcasing the talents of NSW performers. Dance, speech and music. At the Prince of Wales Opera House (F7 on the map on page 2) and the Memorial Hall (E9).

June long weekend - Henry Lawson Heritage Festival

Celebrates Henry Lawson’s life. Grand parade, literary awards, live performances of Lawson’s work, heritage games, street markets, buskers, art exhibition, horse racing, guided historic walks. Held throughout the town. Link to 2008 Henry Lawson Heritage Festival program
